Alyson earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland School of Law in 2004, and has been a practicing attorney for more than 20 years. While at Maryland, Alyson realized her passion for family law when she was a clerk for Special Master Christopher Panos in the Family Division, Baltimore City Circuit Court, 8th Judicial Circuit. It was this passion that brought her back to Columbus where she immediately began practicing family law.
Alyson grew up in Columbus, Ohio and graduated from Thomas Worthington High School. She graduated Cum Laude from Miami University of Ohio, earning her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. While at Miami, Alyson was a member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority and Miami University Mock Trial team. She was also twice named an Intercollegiate All-American by the American Mock Trial Association. During her senior year, Alyson served as co-captain and helped lead her team to win the National Championship.
Alyson has been recognized as a "Rising Star" by Ohio Super Lawyers magazine for being one of the state’s outstanding young domestic relations lawyers. She has been featured in Columbus CEO magazine’s Top Lawyer issue among an elite group of Columbus lawyers recognized for their legal abilities and professional ethical standards.
Alyson serves as President of the Board for Partners for Community and Character in Worthington and is on the advisory board of The Gateway Film Center. She is a member of The Ohio State Bar Association and Columbus Bar Association, where she currently serves as Chair of the Family Law Committee. Alyson is a member of the Central Ohio Academy of Collaborative Divorce Professionals (COACDP), as well as the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC).
