Kathryn’s first home was in rural Utah on a cattle ranch West of Delta in a place called Sunflower (a suburb of Abraham). The family moved to Spanish Fork where she completed her schooling and was active in many organizations at Spanish Fork High School.
Following marriage and a divorce, she returned to school with five children in tow. She completed a degree in Economics with an English Minor from BYU and then pursued and completed a law degree at the University of Utah.
Economic pressures took her and her children to Las Vegas, Nevada to practice law. While there she practiced primarily family law and civil litigation with several law firms before joining the Nevada Attorney General’s Office. While there she had several opportunities including administrative work representation for Health Care Financing and Policy, Elder Abuse, and Child Protection in the Juvenile Court.
Being a Utah girl at heart, she returned to Utah and joined the Utah Attorney General Child Protection team in Southern Utah. After 15 years there, she took a break, retiring from government work, and conducted meditations as well as prepared trust and estate documents. However, the Siren Song of the Law lured her back into practice with Boyack Christiansen Legal Solutions in early 2023 where she is currently practicing family law and civil litigation.
